Job Title: Assistant Professor
Department: College of Engineering and Technology
Major / Specialization: PhD in Electronics and Communication or closely related fields
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS: The Assistant Professor in Electronics and Communication is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, conducting scholarly research, and contributing to academic service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop and deliver courses to students in specified discipline areas of study, considering and aiming to achieve the three (3) fundamental standards of the University, those are Teaching, Research and Services.
- Supervision of students during patient care with specific duties including the essential documentation of that supervision, evaluate and monitor individual student progress and provide feedback to sustain student success.
- Research, organize and manage instructional resources, courses outlines, and community networks.
- Conduct and publish high-quality research in reputable peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Actively seek out methods, procedures and resources to best achieve course objectives.
- Support and participate in accreditation initiatives.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION:
- Report to: Dean College of Engineering & Technology
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication or a closely related field.
- Specialization in Computer Science Subjects
- Minimum of 2 years of university-level teaching experience (prior UAE or GCC experience preferred).
- A record of scholarly research and publications in reputable venues.
- Ability to teach courses in areas such as:
- - Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
- - Data Structures
- - Computer Networks
- - Introduction to Software Engineering
- - Cloud Computing
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral).
- Experience supervising student projects, research, or internships (preferred).
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Cloud Computing / AWS) are an advantage.
