College of Business Administration Department:
Major / Specialization: PhD in Supply Chain Management and Logistics Management, or closely related fields.
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The Assistant Professor, PhD in Supply Chain Management and Logistics Management, or closely related fields, contributes to high-quality teaching, applied research, academic advising, and community engagement within the College of Business Administration. The incumbent will support the development and continuous improvement of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) and related programs, in alignment with Fujairah University’s mission and UAE academic accreditation standards (CAA/ACBSP/AMBA).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach undergraduate (BBA) and postgraduate (MBA) courses in Supply Chain and Logistics Management.
- Design, update, and deliver course content aligned with global supply chain practices, digital transformation, sustainability, and accreditation standards (CAA / ACBSP /AMBA).
- Advise and mentor students on academic progression, professional development, and research projects.
- Supervise undergraduate capstone projects and MBA theses or applied research projects.
- Conduct and publish high-quality research in reputable peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Contribute actively to curriculum enhancement, program review, and accreditation processes.
- Support accreditation processes and quality assurance activities.
- Participate in departmental and university committees, community outreach, and industry partnerships.
- Engage in continuous professional development to support excellence in teaching and research.
- Contribute to community engagement activities and professional outreach aligned with UAE national development goals.
SUPERVISION:
- Report to: Dean of the College of Business Administration.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management and Logistics Management, or a closely related discipline from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 3 years of university-level teaching experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience (preferred).
- Strong research record with publications in internationally peer-reviewed journals.
- Experience in supervising undergraduate and/or graduate student research projects.
- Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, CPSM, or logistics-related certifications are desirable.
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas: Supply Chain Management, Logistics & Transportation, Procurement & Sourcing, Inventory Management, Operations Management, Warehousing & Distribution, Sustainable Supply Chains, or Digital Supply Chains.
- Demonstrated experience in professional or academic service, community engagement, or industry collaboration (preferred).
- Strong communication skills in English (oral and written).
